The Kentucky Wildcats are hot on the recruiting trail, though much of it has recently been for the 2019 class.
Now, Kentucky assistant coach Joel Justus is visiting 2019 5-star point guard Ashton Hagans today, according to CatsPause.
Hagans, who is playing at Newton High School in Covington (VA), is the No. 10 player in the 2019 class based on the 247 Sports composite rankings. He has offers from Kansas, North Carolina, LSU, Georgia, Auburn and several other schools. Kentucky has yet to extend an offer.
"He's highly interested in Kentucky," Hagans' high school coach, Rick Rasmussen, told CatsPause. "There's no favorite right now. They're being really patient but I know they are highly interested in Kentucky making an offer. That's one he doesn't have right now that he's very interested in."
Hagans is 6-4, 185 lbs, possessing good size for a point guard, especially as a 2019 player. He put up 14.2 points, 5.4 boards and 8.3 assists per game in the Adidas Gauntlet.

Bacot, who is playing at Trinity Episcopal High School in Richmond (VA), is the No. 16 player and No. 4 center in the 2019 class based on the 247 Sports composite rankings.
Duke, Arizona State, Baylor, Louisville, Kansas, Maryland, Miami, North Carolina, Oregon, UCLA, USC, Virginia and Villanova are among the host of schools who’ve offered Bacot.
Neither Bacot nor Hagans has an offer from Kentucky just yet, though both are good enough that an offer could come very soon.
