Kentucky’s newest recruiting target in the Class of 2018 trimmed his list to five, and unsurprisingly, Kentucky made the cut.
Forward Jaxson Hayes released his list, which includes Kentucky, Texas, Xavier, Georgetown, and Butler, according to CatsPause.com.
The 6’10 Hayes recently received an offer from Kentucky Head Coach John Calipari, despite being unranked by the major recruiting services.
A major growth spurt (around 10 inches) and an impressive spring and summer playing for Twenty Two Vision alongside Romeo Langford caught the eye of UK assistant Kenny Payne, which led to a visit and an offer from Calipari.
"I'm definitely really excited to say the least," Hayes told Chris Fisher at CatsPause.com. "They think me being able to run and being long and athletic will be good for their system."
Hayes is expected to take an official visit to Kentucky soon. He has already taken official visits to Texas and Xavier.
It will be interesting to see how the recruiting services begin to view Hayes as more offers and interest begin to head his way.
