Kentucky’s first official basketball practice for the 2017-2018 season will take place on October 13th at 7 p.m. Big Blue Madness is a staple for Wildcat fans to kick off the season and see the new players in action for the first time. Tickets for the high-energy event will be distributed on Friday, September 29th at 10 a.m.

Tickets can be obtained on Ticketmaster.com or at the Memorial Coliseum ticket window on Avenue of Champions. In order to get tickets at Memorial Coliseum, however, you will need to be in line at least two days early. The annual Big Blue Madness Campout will begin at 5 a.m. on Wednesday, September 27th.

While NCAA regulations dictate that admission to a practice must be free, there will be a service fee on tickets obtained through Ticketmaster. There is a limit of two tickets per person whether tickets are distributed at the ticket booth or through Ticketmaster. Tickets are required for patrons of all ages.

This practice will includes introductions of all men’s and women’s basketball players and coaches, a series of drills for each group, and then a live scrimmage to give fans a taste of real college basketball before the season begins.

There will also be a number of big-time 2018 in Rupp Arena for the event.

Big Blue Madness is a sellout every year, and the tickets are often gone in a matter of minutes. However, there is always the opportunity to purchase tickets on the secondary market in the days leading up to the event.

Even if you cannot get tickets, Big Blue Madness will be aired live on the SEC Network. Check your local listings and set your DVR to make sure you get a look at the all of the new Wildcats from both the men’s and women’s basketball teams.
