Hayes has been rising up the recruiting rankings this summer, though he wasn’t thought to be in the same group as Bol Bol, Simi Shittu and other bigs UK has recruited. But if Hayes scored an offer, that tells you John Calipari is pretty high on the talented forward.
The 6-9, 205-pound Hayes hails from Moeller High School (OH) and is ranked 160th overall by 247 Sports. ESPN has given him a three-star grade. Rivals has yet to give him an evaluation.
If Calipari and UK are offering, you can bet he’s about to rise up the rankings. He already holds offers from Texas, Xavier, Butler, Illinois, Clemson, Purdue, Ohio State and VCU among others.
Hayes’ rise has been a fast and special one, which you can read about here.
