Kentucky Wildcats Quickies: Stephen Johnson Getting His Due Edition

New, 21 comments

The nation is talking about the Kentucky QB, Florida players facing felony charges, UK and UofL football vastly different directions, and more!

NCAA Football: Kentucky at South Carolina Jeff Blake-USA TODAY Sports

Stephen Johnson has been nothing short of amazing as the quarterback for the Kentucky Wildcats. He is 10-4 in games where he has taken the bulk of the snaps and he is 4-1 away from Kroger Field, the one loss being at Alabama.

Until now it was Kentucky fans alone that appreciated what he’s doing (and even some of them were looking to the next guy at QB), but Johnson is finally getting the recognition he deserves.

Is he flashy? No. Does he put up the big Lamar Jackson numbers? No. But he wins. He’s a steady presence on the field for the ‘Cats and he produces results in big moments.

Yesterday was the day that people around the country started to see what we’ve all been seeing:
