D.J. Jeffries recruiting: Elite wing offered by Kentucky Basketball

Another elite 2019 recruit is offered by John Calipari.

Entering Thursday, UK had yet to offer a player in the Class of 2019. By the end of the day, two of the best in 2019 held offers from UK.

Late Thursday evening, D.J. Jeffries announced a scholarship offer from UK:

Jeffries, who hails from Olive Branch (MS), is regarded as a top-25 prospect in most recruiting services, the highest being ninth overall by ESPN.

247 Sports Composite, which measures all of the recruiting services, has Jeffries ranked 16th overall. His lowest ranking is 37th by Rivals.

Seeing how he is just the second player offered in 2019 — joining James Wiseman — I’d venture to guess Jeffries is closer to being a top-10 prospect than one in the 30s.

Among the schools who’ve already offered Jeffries include Kansas, Florida, Alabama, Maryland, Texas A&M and LSU among others.
