John Calipari may not have a pledge in the 2018 class, but he’s already zeroing in one one of his top 2019 targets.
On Thursday, Calipari visited with five-star forward James Wiseman. During the visit, Wiseman scored a scholarship offer from UK, according to Pat Lawless.
James Wiseman, a class of 2019 Big Man from Memphis East (TN)/Team Penny, has picked up an offer from Kentucky.

This is big news, as UK had yet to offer anyone in the Class of 2019. Wiseman is regarded as one of the top players in 2019, the highest being No. 1 overall by ESPN and No. 2 by 247 Sports Composite, which factors in all major recruiting services.
It certainly looks like things are trending upwards for the Cats with Wiseman already getting multiple visits from UK coaches. UK also watched him in Argentina and on the Nike circuit.
North Carolina, Louisville, Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Florida State, Kansas and Texas have all offered Wiseman thus far.
