Despite a forgettable game against EKU, there weren’t too many changes on this week’s two-deep projection. The intriguing area to watch for was along the offensive line, which has been a disaster through two games. Something had to change here if UK is to become a legitimate contender in the SEC East.
The good news is the offensive line was in shambles after two games last year as well, and they came back with a vengeance the rest of the season, so it could happen again this year.
Perhaps that begins with the alterations made to the Week 3 depth chart, which includes promising freshman Naasir Watkins now listed as the No. 2 left tackle. Redshirt freshman Luke Fortner is now the No. 2 left guard.
Kyle Meadows, who had been listed at left and right tackle the first two games, is now only listed at right tackle, but it’s listed as Meadows ‘OR’ George Asafo-Adjei. It looks like Meadows’ starting spot could be lose to Asafo-Adjei if things don’t improve fast. Meadows has also been dealing with shoulder injury.
