The Kentucky Wildcats will soon be hosting one of the top players in 2019.
According to 247 Sports’ Andrew Slater, Matthew Hurt will visit UK the weekend of September 30th. Hurt will be taking three unofficial visits that weekend, as he’ll also see the Louisville Cardinals and Indiana Hoosiers.
A 6-11, 199-pound forward out of Rochester (MN), Hurt is ranked by 247 and Scout as the fifth-best player in 2019 in addition to being the top small forward. ESPN ranks him eighth overall, while Rivals has him tabbed sixth.
Hurt’s early offer sheet includes Louisville, Indiana, Duke, Kansas, North Carolina, Florida, Arizona, Oregon, Wisconsin and Notre Dame among others. Seeing that many big-name programs already offering a 2019 prospect shows just how much potential Hurt has.
UK has yet to offer, but that could change during his trip to Lexington later in September.
