The summer of the Kentucky Wildcats is now featuring the walk-ons.

Between John Calipari’s U19 team, the NBA Summer League Cats, and Sacha Killeya-Jones participating in EuroBasket, it’s not been much of an offseason for Kentucky Basketball.

Now, walk-on guard Brad Calipari will join the fun. The younger Calipari will be a part of an eight-day basketball trip to Croatia next week with Global Sports Academy. He is one of 14 college players on the roster leaving Monday for Croatia.

The team, will be coached by Bucknell assistant Joe Meehan. His squad will play four games against professional teams from the region. The roster has players from 13 different schools, including Bucknell, Hofstra and Radford.

For a refresher, Global Sports Academy creates athletic competitions at all levels internationally. It’s designed to promote international goodwill and a better understanding between nations through sports.
