We have our first full UK roster for next season.

On Thursday, the first full Kentucky Wildcats 2017-18 basketball roster was unveiled.

UK released the official list of jersey numbers for every player entering next year, which includes newcomers Quade Green (0), Jarred Vanderbilt (2), Nick Richards (4), Kevin Knox (5), Jemarl Baker (13), Shai Alexander (22) and P.J. Washington (25). Redshirt freshman Hamidou Diallo is now No. 3 after wearing No. 4 last season.

What really stands out is the sheer amount of size UK will have if these numbers hold up. It would mean UK has six players at 6-9 or above and nine guys at 6-5 or more. The starting lineup could consist of Green (6-0), Diallo (6-5), Knox (6-9), Wenyen Gabriel (6-9) and Richards (6-11).

UK did make sure to note that some of the heights and weights were unofficial, but nevertheless, it’s good to see the roster set in stone. It means college hoops isn’t too far away, though October and Big Blue Madness can’t get here soon enough.
