It looks like the Kentucky Wildcats are out of the running for Louis King.
According to Pat Lawless, King has cut his list down to eight, and UK was among those cut from consideration.

At one point, it looked like King was on the verge of getting that elusive offer. He’s a five-star prospect in all of the major recruiting services, including No. 14 overall by 247 Composite, which measures all of the rankings.
King spent the summer with John Calipari and Team USA at the U-19 Tournament. Even with that extra time spent with Calipari, it wasn’t enough to earn the five-star forward a scholarship offer.
That’s not to say King isn’t worthy of one, but this is shaping up to be a class that includes four, maybe five incoming recruits. While King is good, he’s not as high on UK’s board as Zion Williamson, R.J. Barrett, Cam Reddish, Bol Bol, Simi Shittu, Keldon Johnson, Immanuel Quickley, Darius Garland or Quentin Grimes.
UK would have to miss on a lot of those guys for King to get an offer, and he’s not waiting around for that to happen.
