Jarren Williams’ recruitment has been a bit of a rollercoaster.
The four-star quarterback committed to Kentucky, then de-committed in April, and then re-committed to Kentucky again.
In a recent interview with SEC Country’s Joe Mussatto, the future Wildcat made it known that he’s “firm” with UK, but other schools do still contact him.
“I’m firm with Kentucky. There are some schools that still text me,” Williams said. “I do listen to them, but right now I’m going to Kentucky.”
He said that LSU and South Carolina still contact him, but he mostly just talks to Kentucky coaches.
“I haven’t really been talking to a lot of coaches like that except for Coach [Eddie] Gran, Coach [Darin] Hinshaw,” he said. “I’ve just been focusing on the team and making sure everybody’s on the same page trying to win this year.”
Williams also said that when he de-committed, he was considering Florida, Florida State, Alabama and Tennessee, but he knew there was a good chance he’d re-commit to Kentucky.
The star quarterback is an Elite 11 quarterback prospect, and just put up a five-touchdown game for his high school team on Friday night.
