Kentucky is expected to have a historically good 2018 recruiting class when all is said and done. However, they currently don’t have a single commitment for ‘18, which ranks them last in the SEC for 2018 recruiting.
Rivals expert Corey Evans expects that to change in a big way, as he said they’ll make the biggest jump of any team in the nation once their class is finalized.
Evans says that Quickley will come first, and other five-stars will follow like Zion Williamson and Keldon Johnson.
In the end, Evans expects Kentucky to get a plethora of top-ranked recruits.
My prediction? Quickley and Williamson will be Kentucky pledges by the first signing period and the Wildcats will boast another five-star recruit, that being either Johnson, Cam Reddish or Quentin Grimes. Three five-star commits in November equates to the biggest winners of the fall.
That’d be a huge boost for Kentucky, giving them a turnaround something similar to what they got this past year, landing a large portion of their recruits at once and ending up with a monstrous top-two class.
Quickley and Zion along would put Kentucky in contention for the No. 1 recruiting class. After all, 247 Sports has Zion ranked No. 1 overall, while Quickley comes in at 13. Land those two, and then Kentucky should finish with a couple other five-star guys that seal another top-ranked class for John Calipari.
