De’Aaron Fox praises Quade Green, other new Kentucky Wildcats

Fox was back in Lexington to help with Coach Cal’s camp. and he dished out some praise for the new Cats.

Three Kentucky Wildcats returned to Lexington on Tuesday to help with John Calipari’s Pro Camp.

De’Aaron Fox, Dominique Hawkins and Derek Willis were all back at UK to work with many lucky campers. Afterwards, three spoke with the media about what they’ve been up to this summer, as well as how the new Cats are looking.

Fox singled out several incoming freshmen as guys he’s been impressed with, including UK’s new floor general.

“Me, Malik (Monk) and Bam (Adebayo), we all played pickup with the guys Saturday. “Quade (Green) played really well,” said Fox. “Hami (Diallo) wasn’t here. Kevin (Knox) wasn’t here. PJ (Washington), Jarred (Vanderbilt), Jarred really shot the ball well. Nick’s (Richards) really active on the boards, catches lobs, blocks shots, just what you’d expect him to do.”

It’s good to see Green was among those who stood out the most, being that he’s likely the one replacing Fox as UK’s starting point guard next season. Green might not be coming to UK with as much fanfare as Fox, but he’ll have just as important of a role for the young Cats next season.
