Xavier Peters recruitment takes major turn after commitment to Kentucky Football

Peters has some family disagreement to iron out before really making his commitment to Kentucky final.

Xavier Peters’ recruitment has taken a major turn after he committed to the Kentucky Wildcats just one day ago.

According to Justin Rowland of Rivals, there’s turmoil within Peters’ camp that is causing uncertainty about his decision to commit to Kentucky.

However, apparently not everyone close to Peters is 100-percent on board with his decision and a family member wants to make sure they're on the same page with him. We can report with confidence that it's that family member's interest in Peters' recruitment that has led to Peters' uncertain status.

This family member wasn’t expecting Peters to commit anywhere other than Kentucky, but according to Rowland, said family member was unhappy with their involvement in the process and the timing of the decision.

Rowland said that one source was “adamant” that Peters would eventually stay committed to Kentucky, and sign there, but for now, all we have is uncertainty.

Peters hasn’t decommitted...yet. So for the time being, he’s a future Wildcat. But his commitment isn’t exactly 100 percent, and anything about him being committed to Kentucky has been removed from his Twitter profile.

This is tough for Kentucky, but it’s certainly not the worst that could happen. After the Jarren Williams experience, Mark Stoops and co. won’t give up hope. And anyways, it doesn’t seem like any other school is a major contender for Peters, it just seems as though this family member needs to be won over by Kentucky in order to finish this recruitment off.
