The Kentucky Wildcats have scored a massive commitment in 2018.
It comes in the form of Xavier Peters, who picked the Cats on the fourth of July:

The four-star linebacker becomes the highest-ranked commit in Kentucky’s 2018 class now. Peters also joins Darian Kinnard, Brenden Bates, Alex Reigelsperger, Quintin Wilson, Tyler Bentley and Keaton Upshaw as Ohio prospects who’ve pledged to Kentucky.
The Lakota West (OH) product is 247 Sports’ eighth-best outside linebacker and fourth-best player from the state of Ohio in 2018. He commits to Kentucky while holding offers from Florida, Penn State, Louisville, Maryland, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin, and West Virginia among others.
That kind of offer sheet shows just how big of a get this is for Mark Stoops and his staff.
The 6-4, 220-pound Peters listed as an outside and inside linebacker across the various recruiting services. It’s unclear what he’ll play at UK, but regardless, he’s an elite prospect that should make a big impact wherever he goes.
