The Kentucky Wildcats shined in another solid outing for Team USA, who defeated Angolo on Sunday, 109-68.
Hamidou Diallo continues to be the best player for the Americans as he put in 15 points on 6-of-11 shooting. The redshirt freshman also chipped in three boards, two assists and three steals. Diallo continues to look like he’ll be one of, if not the most important player for UK next season.
Incoming freshman forward P.J. Washington struggled to make an impact in the scoring department for much of the game, though he did have a nice finish and ended up with 11 points on 4-of-10 shooting.
However, Washington made up for it in other areas by grabbing nine rebounds, two steals and dishing out four assists. To see him still make a nice impact when his scoring is off is great to see and should help him earn a starting role next season.
UK target Immanuel Quickley finally got going after a rough start in FIBA player. The five-star point guard finished with 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting to go with two assists.
Fellow UK target Cam Reddish finished with 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting along with four boards and two assists.
One UK target who didn’t even see the floor was Romeo Langford. The five-star guard was held out for undisclosed reasons. Perhaps he has an injury he’s battling through.
