John Calipari is hard at work on his 2018 recruiting class, but Kentucky is always looking forward to the next year.
Assistants Joel Justus and Kenny Payne were out and about last week during the various recruiting events. That includes trips to watch 2019 prospects Tyrese Maxey and Aidan Igiehon, according to TJ Walker from Rivals.
Joel Justus has been spotted at Peach Jam. Presumably watching Tyrese Maxey (2019). Maxey said he'd like to be recruited by UK.

Both are currently four-star recruits according to 247 Sports. Maxey has offers from Arizona State, Baylor, California, Florida State and Georgia Tech. Igiehon has offers from Illinois, Oklahoma, Rutgers, St. John’s and Syracuse.
Maxey’s highest ranking is by Rivals, who has the 6-4, 185-pound guard ranked 19th overall in 2019. That is also the service that has the highest ranking for Igiehon, as they ranked him 22nd overall.
Walker also says that Maxey wants to be recruited by UK. Doing stuff like this in front of a UK assistant is a good way to make that happen.

Let’s hope the Cats can get out on the right foot with the 2019 class.
