Is John Calipari swinging Cameron Reddish towards Kentucky Basketball?

Duke is “absolutely not” the leader for Reddish.

USA Basketball

It’s no secret that John Calipari loves Cameron Reddish. His versatility is exactly what Cal is looking for these days. And with Reddish having spent time with Calipari in Egypt for the U19 National Team, Cal has gotten a chance to influence Reddish’s college decision.

Perhaps it’s working, as according to a recent story from Kyle Tucker of SEC Country, Reddish himself said that Duke is “absolutely not” the leader in the Reddish sweepstakes, contrary to popular belief.

Calipari’s message to Reddish has been mainly focused on how Cal coaches him.

“He hasn’t really mentioned anything about Kentucky,” the player said. “He’s just trying to help me and help the team win. It’s been really fun. Everybody’s just going out and playing super hard — and playing for each other. Any of us could go out there and get 20, 30 points, but it’s a lot of fun seeing everybody play hard for each other.”

Reddish helped Cal’s U.S. team to a 5-0 start before they fell to Canada in the FIBA World Cup semifinal.
