Ayo Dosunmu is not a name that many Kentucky fans have been talking about in regard to 2018 recruiting, but fans should possibly keep an eye on him moving forward.
Rivals basketball recruiting analyst Corey Evans said that Dosunmu has recently picked up interest from the Wildcats. In naming his Pangos All-American Camp award winners, Evans named Dosunmu “Mr. Lunch Pale.”
Here is what he wrote about Dosunmu:
As the weekend wore on, Ayo Dosunmu rose to the top. He's almost a guaranteed 20 points or more each time he takes the floor because of his ability to get to the rim. He has some De'Aaron Fox in his game and with an improved jumper Dosunmu has the chance to become one of the hardest defensive assignments in the 2018 class.
Recruiting: Heading to Illinois and DePaul this month for team camps, each program remains in the mix, along with others including Butler, Northwestern and newfound interest by way of Kentucky.
The 6-4, 172-pound Dosunmu, who hails from Chicago, is ranked as the #29 player nationally, according to Rivals.
Currently, Rivals lists his offers as including the likes of Butler, Cincinnati, Illinois, Iowa State, Missouri, Texas A&M, Xavier, and others.
Illinois seems to be the early favorite, but it seems that Dosunmu is continuing to turn heads and could get some interest from other schools in the near future.
Here are some highlights of Dosunmu in action.
