Forward Kobe Brown, a four-star player in the 2019 class, recently spoke to Rivals about his recruitment.

The 6-6, 225 pound Brown is considering Kentucky, along with Auburn, Georgia, Oklahoma, and others.

Brown’s skill set has been drawing interest due to his size and versatility. His ability to play multiple positions and shooting ability seems to fit in well with the positionless approach that John Calipari seems to love.

Brown has been receiving a lot of interest since June 15, the first day that coaches could contact 2019 recruits.

Here is what Brown had to say recently about Kentucky.

Kentucky: “They have high interest. I haven’t heard from them lately, but they’ve talked to my high school coach. I like their campus a lot. I like their team. I like coach Cal (John Calipari) as an overall person. I got to see them practice and he’s intense at all times.”

Dan McDonald of Rivals said that he believes Auburn, Georgia, and Oklahoma are in the best position for Brown, but said that with Kentucky showing serious interest, that could change quickly.

Kentucky coaches have shown the ability to identify talent early and form relationships, and this could be another instance.

Brown will be a name to keep an eye on.
