The Phoenix Suns continue to engage the New York Knicks on a trade for star big man Kristaps Porzingis.
One player Phoenix is unwilling to part ways with is Devin Booker. The former Kentucky Wildcats star is someone the Suns value very highly as he grows into a superstar in the NBA.
However, there is one former UK guard that Phoenix is willing to part with.
#NBA Source tells me #Knicks have told #Porzingis a #Suns deal is close, Porzingis brother told my source the deal is "likely" #NBADraft

Another source tells me #Suns & #Knicks are in fact "down the road" on #Porzingis ..."Bledsoe, Chriss, and the 4th gets it done" #NBADraft

It would be sad to see Bledsoe leave what’s become a team of former Cats, but there’s just too much guard depth to keep everyone. Brandon Knight is also likely getting shopped, though Bledsoe is easily the one with more value right now.
Expect one of Knight or Bledsoe to be moved before the start of the 2017-18 NBA season, and the draft is usually a great time to make blockbuster deals like this.
Even so, I think a Suns - Knicks trade doesn’t get done today, and the Phoenix Wildcats remain a four-man band in the Valley of the Sun.
