De’Aaron Fox is headed to Sacramento.
Fox was selected #5 by the Kings in the 2017 NBA Draft. He joins fellow Kentucky Wildcats Willie Cauley-Stein and Skal Labissiere.
Fox was among the best point guards in the country last season, averaging 16.7 points on 47.9 percent shooting, 4 rebounds, and a team-leading 4.6 assists. Fox is also only the third UK player to record a triple-double with 14, 11, and 10 against Arizona State.
He also notably out-dueled his point guard counterpart, Lonzo Ball, in their Sweet 16 matchup, where Fox erupted to score 39 points in leading the Cats to victory.
Fox’s speed, quickness, and finishing ability are among the best in the draft class. If he works on his outside jumper, which improved significantly over the course of the season, Fox can be a lethal, two-way weapon from the point guard spot for years to come.
Good luck to Fox as he realizes his NBA dreams and begins his professional career.
