New, 3 comments

Boom!

The Kentucky Wildcats have scored a big football commitment while slipping a recruit from the Louisville Cardinals.

On Tuesday, three-star wide receiver Akeem Hayes made his pledge to UK.

This comes after Hayes camped at UK recently and enjoyed his visit, enough to sway him the Cardinals, who he was originally committed to since April 27th.

Hayes, who hails from Chaminade-Madonna Prep in Florida, also held offers from Baylor, Illinois, USF, NC State, Wake Forest, Temple and Oregon among others. All of the major recruiting services gave him a three-star rating.

ESPN and 247 Sports list the 5-10, 175-pound Hayes as an athlete, while Rivals and Scout and list him as a receiver. 247 has him ranked 169th overall in the state of Florida.
