Moses Brown, one of the top big men in the 2018 recruiting class, is an intriguing prospect that is drawing interest from the top programs in the country.
Standing at 7 feet tall (and possibly still growing), Brown’s size and length are appealing and Kentucky is one of several teams in pursuit of Brown’s service.
He recently spoke with Rivals about the various pitches that different schools are using during his recruitment.
In regard to Kentucky:
Kentucky: “They just want me to become a pro and to set goals for myself to be the best Moses that I can possibly be.”
Brown said that he plans to cut his list after the live period is over. The schools that seem to be in the best shape for Brown include Maryland, Kentucky, Duke, Louisville, and St. John's.
“When the live periods are over, I will think about cutting my school list down before the high school season starts,” he told Rivals.com at the Pangos All-American Camp.
Brown’s Crystal Ball shows Maryland (50 percent) and Kentucky (40 percent) to be the favorites for Brown, with Duke in third at 10 percent.
It’s interesting to see the different pitches that schools are using toward Brown, but his statement about Kentucky seems to align with what Calipari has stated about his recruiting tactics.
