The Kentucky Baseball team’s season ended this weekend after losing to Louisville in the Super Regionals.
While the loss may sting, it won’t even begin to take away from what was a magical season for the Cats. No one expected them to even make the NCAA Tournament, let alone contend for an SEC crown and advance into what’s essentially the Sweet 16.
This was a team more likely to finish at the bottom of the ultra-competitive SEC, but they continued to surprise and shock everyone with a joyous season that came to an end way later than anyone could have hoped for when the year began.
Nick Mingione has Kentucky Baseball’s future looking brighter than it’s ever been. Next season can’t get here soon enough!
