Kevin Knox explains decision to pick Kentucky Basketball

Not long after the Kentucky Derby ended, Kevin Knox shocked the world by picking what many viewed as a huge underdog in UK.

Duke was the school with all the momentum heading into this decision, so much so that a number of insiders claimed this was a ‘done deal’ for the Blue Devils. UK fans can attest to there being no such thing, but even the most optimistic Cats fan didn’t see this coming.

What went into Knox deciding that UK was where he wanted to call home for college? Shortly after Knox made his announcement, he also did a blog post at Respect My Face Magazine about his decision.

My parents always told me that at the end of the day as long as I make God and my family happy, everyone else will have to deal with it.

As tough as it has been, I am confident and comfortable with the decision I have made. I’ve decided to do what’s best for me, and I’m happy. Because in the end, that is all that matters.

The hard part is over now. I’m looking forward to making this about basketball again; getting in the gym, getting better, and working towards the goal of bring a national championship to the city of Lexington.
