John Calipari praises SEC Basketball; “It’s our time”

This week, the SEC Spring Meeting is taking place in Florida, and John Calipari is on hand to talk about the rise of SEC basketball.

When Calipari first arrived at UK, the league was among the worst Power 5 leagues in college basketball. Other than UK’s success, the league has remained there for much of Calipari’s tenure.

However, the league has made big strides over the past two seasons, and Calipari is confident it will only continue forward, saying “It’s our time.”

The latest preseason top 25 poll from FOX Sports indicates as much, as they have five SEC teams cracking their top 25, including Kentucky (No. 3), Florida (No. 12) and Alabama (No. 16 making the top 16.
