It looks like Hamidou Diallo may not make his NBA Draft decision until Wednesday’s deadline to do so.
According to Adam Zagoria, Diallo is still mulling over his decision to remain in the draft or return to UK, so much that the decision may not be made until the deadline.
The expectation has been Diallo will stay in the draft, so the fact that a decision hasn’t been reached would probably bode well for UK.
I still think that’s what his ultimate decision will be, but UK appears to have a chance of keeping the talented shooting guard for next season.
After losing Mohamed Bamba last week, UK badly needs to add/keep an impact player like Diallo for the 2017-18 Wildcats to be a true title contender. Diallo remaining could certainly do that.
There’s also a chance Cam Johnson comes here if Diallo remains in the draft. Johnson probably won’t come if Diallo is here, so there’s a decent chance one of these two guards is on the roster next season.
