UK’s receiver depth takes a hit.

The Kentucky Wildcats have lost one of their top recruits from the Class of 2015 to transfer.

On Monday, UK confirmed that wide receiver Jabari Greenwood is transferring from the school. The 6-3, 195-pound Greenwood didn’t have a catch last year after redshirting during the 2015 season. He caught one pass for six yards in the spring Blue-White game, and it was clear he was pretty far behind on the depth chart.

Greenwood came to UK as a highly-touted recruit out of washington, D.C. in 2015. He had offers from Michigan State, Virginia Tech, Iowa, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Pittsburgh and NC State among others.

Since school ends in the coming weeks while spring football has concluded, this is the time of the year when a lot of transfers happen, especially guys like Greenwood who see that playing time is hard to come by. Hopefully, he lands at a school where he can get more looks, as he’s a talented receiver who should have a solid college career.
