Friday Quickies: Mark Smith Edition

Mark Smith gets offered, Tim Tebow hits a home run in his first Single-A at-bat and more in today’s quickies.

Two major things happened involving Kentucky guards yesterday: Isaiah Briscoe declared for the NBA Draft, and Mark Smith was offered a scholarship from UK.

This gives Smith a lot to think about, as Kentucky is one of several teams who have upped their recruiting pitch after he won Gatorade Player of the Year and Mr. Basketball in the state of Illinois.
