The Kentucky Wildcats are showing strong interest in Jemarl Barker.
After Kentucky reportedly contacted Baker last week, head coach John Calipari will visit the four-star shooting guard later this week.

Baker was recently released from his national letter of intent with the California Golden Bears. He signed with them under Cuonzo Martin, who has since become the Missouri Tigers’ head coach, though it doesn’t appear they’re still coming after Baker.
The 6-2, 165-pound Baker is ranked 119th overall and the 22nd-best shooting guard by 247 Sports. ESPN ranks him 65th overall and the 19th-best shooting guard. Scout.com ranks Baker 87th overall and the 20th-best shooting guard. Rivals.com ranks him 80th overall.
Kentucky desperately needs another shooter in this class, and if they don’t get that in Kevin Knox, expect guys like Baker and/or Mark Smith to get offered at some point, possibly as early as this week.
