Hamidou Diallo shows up in DraftExpress’ latest NBA Mock Draft

Hami is getting the feedback he seeks from the draft experts.

Hamidou Diallo declared that he was entering his name into the NBA Draft on Sunday, but would not sign an agent, leaving the door open for him to return to Kentucky.

With his name in, Draft Express has added him to their latest mock draft as the No. 33 pick, going to the Orlando Magic. That’d make him the third pick in the second round. Draft Express’ top-100 ranking has Diallo ranked 35th. There are five other Cats on that top-100 board:

5. De’Aaron Fox, 6. Malik Monk, 34. Bam Adebayo, 89. Isaiah Briscoe, 100. Isaac Humphries

Diallo is also in Chad Ford’s ranking, falling in at 37th.

NBADraft.net’s most recent big board has Diallo ranked 58th.

Draft Express sees 2018 as a better year for him to enter the draft, as they have him as the No. 22 pick in their 2018 mock. If he even steps on the floor he almost certainly raises that stock even higher.

So, it’s clear that if Diallo stays, his stock almost certainly rises. But if he cracks the first round in mock drafts this year, I’d say the chances of him staying in the draft get better.
