The Kentucky Wildcats have scored another football commitment, this one being from Shocky Jacques-Louis, according to Patrick Loney.
The Class of 2018 athlete made the call on Friday, one week after Kentucky wrapped up spring football, meaning Mark Stoops and his staff are able to focus more on recruiting now.
Jacques-Louis hails from Dunbar High School in Fort Myers (FL), and he recently told Scout.com that Kentucky was his leader thanks in large part to assistant coach Darin Hinshaw.
"(Quarterbacks) coach (Darin) Hinshaw is always checking up on me," Jacques-Louis said. "When I visited Kentucky in January, the staff made me feel at home. Everything is new. I really didn't get to explore the whole campus."
The 6-foot, 170-pound athlete is a three-star prospect who 247 Sports ranks 652nd overall in 2018. He holds offers from Georgia, Virginia, South Carolina, Syracuse, North Carolina, Missouri, Maryland, Indiana and South Florida among others. That kind of offer list shows that this was a big pickup for the Cats.
