Knox is meeting with coaches this week before making a decision very soon.

The recruitment of Kevin Knox is winding down.

With a decision inching closer, Knox has set up meetings with various coaches to hear their final pitches before picking his school. Knox’s father, Kevin Knox Sr., told the Lexington Herald-Leader that a schedule of in-home visits this week begins Tuesday with Florida State coaches, followed by Kentucky coaches on Tuesday night.

Then comes meetings with Missouri and Duke coaches on Wednesday.

Oddly enough, there was no immediate word on an in-home visit with North Carolina. One would expect a meeting with the Tar Heels to come since they’re viewed as one of, if not the favorite in this recruitment.

As it stands, Kentucky is viewed as an underdog along with Florida State. Duke and North Carolina look like the favorites, while Missouri has become the dark horse. Duke leads on the 247 Sports crystal ball.

But as always, until a final decision is reached, never count out John Calipari and Kentucky.
