John Calipari’s recruiting days never end as he’s on the trail again.
After meeting with five-star forward Naz Reid on Friday, he’s expected to meet with five-star guard Immanuel Quickley on Tuesday, according to the New York Post and 247 Sports.
Reid is currently ranked the No. 15 player in the class of 2018 by 247 Sports, and the No. 6 power forward. He’s currently got 12 scholarship offers, including one from Louisville. Cal hasn’t offered him yet, but expect it soon as the recruiting interest heats up.
Meanwhile, Quickley is going to get a visit from Cal on Tuesday. The five-star guard out of Bel Air (Md.) is the No. 10 player in his class and the No. 2 point guard in the 247 Sports Composite. He’s the only point guard in his class who has received an offer from Kentucky so far. He’s narrowed his list to Kentucky, Kansas, Duke, Maryland, Miami, Providence and Virginia.
Kentucky is currently the favorite to land him in the crystal ball, receiving 44 percent of the predictions.
Another 2018 prospect that Kentucky has met with recently is David McCormack. The second-ranked center in the 2018 class by 247, McCormack took an unofficial visit to Kentucky on Sunday. That came a day after visiting Louisville. He currently plays at Oak Hill Academy and is ranked No. 44 overall by 247 Sports Composite, which factors in all of the major recruiting services.
