Shai Gilgeous-Alexander made his first appearance in the Derby Festival Classic last night, and grabbed the attention of Kentucky fans (and Louisville fans too).
Alexander scored 29 points, a game-high, in just 19 minutes of play as he led Team Lightning to a 122-109 victory over Team Thunder, which featured all four of Louisville’s commits.
Alexander won the MVP Award, as well as the three-point contest.
