Kentucky Wildcats fans are holding their breaths after watching Jarred Vanderbilt go down in the Jordan Brand Classic.
The injury came near the end of the game as Vanderbilt was driving to the rim, but appeared to plant his foot awkwardly and went down writhing in pain. He laid on the ground favoring his right ankle for about three minutes before trainers assisted him off the court as he put no weight on that leg:

Vanderbilt has dealt with injuries throughout his career, including a broken foot that sidelined him for much of 2016. The game has since ended with no word as to how serious the injury was.
The good news is, whatever the injury is, Vanderbilt will have about six months until the start of his first college season, so hopefully it isn’t serious enough to keep him sidelined too long.
We’ll keep you posted as more details become available.
