Good morning, ladies and gentlemen of the Big Blue Nation, and welcome to the Tuesday Morning Quickies.
The big news this morning is the premiere of the ESPN 30 for 30 movie about UK coach John Calipari “One and Not Done” in the Kentucky Theater in Lexington last night. The movie will air on ESPN at 9:00 PM on Thursday night. This should be really, really interesting.
Former UK player Mark Krebs referred to it for the Herald-Leader as an “honest portrayal” and not a hagiography. That would be a welcome, if possibly uncomfortable change from some of the others we have seen over the years.
The crowd received the preview well, it seems:
The film ran an hour and 42 minutes. When it ended, the crowd applauded for close to 30 seconds.
Calipari said:
"That was really hard for me to watch," Calipari said in a low-key tone of voice. "I didn’t think I was that bad."
Heh. Well, we’re all human, coach.

In case you missed it, Jemarl Baker has received an offer from Kentucky, and some are saying UK has a good chance to land him.
I like this kid’s game. I don’t like his size. But he can really shoot the ball, and his release is as quick and smooth as any you will ever see. He just needs a tiny crease to get his jumper away, and when it goes, in, it rarely touches the rim.

De’Aaron Fox accepts a prom-posal from a South Oldham senior. However, scheduling conflicts may scuttle the date.
