The Best of De’Aaron Fox vs Texas A&M

Fox started slow but finished strong to guide UK to another SEC crown.

NCAA Basketball: Kentucky at Texas A&M Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Saturday was about as good of a homecoming as De’Aaron Fox could have hoped to have.

The Texas native played what likely will be his only game in the Lone Star State, and though it started ugly, it ended beautifully.

Fox scored a team-high 19 points as the Wildcats secured the SEC regular-season championship outright with a 71-63 win in College Station. Much of that came in the second half after he missed three of his first four shots and had one turnover and no assists entering halftime.

But Fox would score UK’s first eight points of the second half and finished with 15 after the break while not committing a turnover in 15 minutes played in half No. 2.
