Scout.com updated their 2018 basketball rankings on Thursday, with Kentucky targets dominating the top of the list.
Marvin Bagley III, Zion Williamson, Romeo Langford, and Cameron Reddish rounded out the top four spots. Those are four guys that John Calipari has watched extensively and would love to have in the 2018 class. Bagley is someone John Calipari has been recruiting hard for years now, so seeing him at the top spot validates Cal’s desire to land the five-star big man.
Other Kentucky targets ranked include Moses Brown (#6), Javonte Smart (#9), Immanuel Quickley (#11), Nazreon Reid (#12), Louis King (#16), and Quentin Grimes (#24). The Smart vs Quickley debate will continue to rage on as they’re viewed as two of the best point guards 2018 has to offer, but it’s unlikely both will land at the same school.
Quickley already holds an offer from Kentucky and has been viewed as their top target at this position. However, Smart is also drawing heavy interest from the Cats, and he just visited this past weekend.
Here is Scout.com’s fully-updated top 25:
