Good morning, ladies and gentlemen of the Big Blue Nation, and welcome to the Tuesday Quickies.
I haven’t had anything to say about the game Sunday — still in mourning, I suppose — but I will say that it was a good effort that just fell short. Getting beat at the buzzer hurts every team it happens to, and we’ve beaten a few teams that way ourselves; remember the North Carolina game back in the Anthony Davis era when he blocked the game-winner, or the Ohio State win when Brandon Knight was with us?
It’s tough when you lose that way, but that’s what makes the NCAA Tournament so dramatic and so popular. So a pat on the back to the Tar Heels for the win and for us, well… there’s always next season.
But that officiating, though. For my part, I’ll just leave it at that.

They're passing a rule against athleticism? What the heck? https://t.co/ljYPdyUnCi

Confuses the heck out of me too, Mike.
Also this:
The one comparison to Laettner's shot to Maye's I'll allow: both looked good from the moment they were shot. I had the same quiet "no!" feel

I knew it was good before it left his hand.

Colin Cowherd wouldn’t know a legitimate question if it crawled up his leg and kicked him in the boys.
The only legitimate questions regard why Cowherd is allowed to earn money for his risible verbal diarrhea.

Incoming UK frosh and fellow McDonald’s All-American Quade Green pitches undecided 5-star Mohamed Bomba and Kevin Knox. Bring them home to the Bluegrass, Quade.

Sigh. Six on five is always tough, but it happens, and not just to Kentucky. It shouldn’t, but it does. Because sports. But pay close attention to the end.
