It's been 25 years since Christian Laettner stabbed every Kentucky player and fan in the heart with a dagger in what became the greatest college basketball game of all-time.
The seniors on the Kentucky team that fell that night, John Pelphrey, Sean Woods, Deron Feldhaus and Richie Farmer, were nicknamed "The Unforgettables."
The Unforgettables were historically good basketball players. There probably won't be a senior class like them again at Kentucky (certainly not in the Calipari era). But nowadays, these four guys are facing challenges a lot bigger than losing on a buzzer-beater to Duke. Pat Forde put it best when he wrote, "Young men immortalized in defeat, The Unforgettables now are navigating a very mortal adulthood. But they’ll do it together."
You can read Forde's entire article of where The Unforgettables are now here. It's a must-read, especially now that it's been 25 years since the shot that ended their college careers.
