FiveThirtyEight, the popular statistics website, favors Kentucky to come out of the talent-laden South Region.
Neil Payne recently gave the Wildcats an 11 percent increase in their chances of making the Final Four, which now makes them the website’s favorite at 40 percent. North Carolina comes in just a few points behind at 34 percent, while UCLA and Butler come in at 14 percent and 12 percent, respectively.

FiveThirtyEight gives Kansas and Gonzaga the best chances to make it to Phoenix with the Jayhawks having a 53 percent chance and Gonzaga having a 46 percent chance.
As it stands, they also give Kentucky the third-highest chance of cutting down the nets at the end of the tournament.
Kentucky holds an 11 percent chance, which only trails Gonzaga (18 percent) and Kansas (15 percent).
