The Kentucky Wildcats went in as slight favorites over the Wichita State Shockers on Sunday afternoon and the game proved to be as close as the experts predicted. But the ‘Cats outlasted the Shockers in the end, 65-62, and once again advanced to the Sweet 16.
Some of what we discussed:
- Wichita State was much better than a 10 seed
- The continued emergence of Bam Adebayo
- Dominique Hawkins once again saved Kentucky’s bacon in the first half
- The Wildcats have evolved offensively and defensively and look like a completely different team
- Option A) Bam; Option B) De’Aaron Fox to the hole
- Coach Cal’s post game press conference along with plenty of player sound from the locker room
- Of all people, Derek Willis talks some smack
- Malik Monk doesn’t care about points, only winning
- Bam reacts to WSU players stating they were going to shut him down
- Kentucky is winning with defensive plays and that wasn’t the case two months ago
- Gregg Marshall’s wife was a trainwreck
- The SEC is proving the haters wrong
- The ACC is hot garbage
- And More!
