March Madness is here, and the NCAA Tournament field is set.
Selection Sunday saw the field of 68 teams revealed as the brackets are now set. The No. 1 overall seed with be the Villanova Wildcats, who earned the top spot in the East Region and looked poised to get back to the Final Four.
We haven’t seen a repeat champion since Florida did it in 2006-07, but Nova looks more than capable of doing it after beating North Carolina for the title last season.
The other top challengers for the title include Kansas, Gonzaga, North Carolina, Duke, Arizona, UCLA, and of course, your Kentucky Wildcats.
Those teams, along with Nova, are the group of teams that should produce this year’s champion, but as wild as this season has been, perhaps a Cinderella squad will rise up and cut down the nets.
