It looks like the Kentucky Wildcats are losing another football assitant.
According to 247 Sports’ Ryan Bartow, defensive line coach Jimmy Brumbaugh is leaving for a job at Maryland.
Per a source, Kentucky defensive line Jimmy Brumbaugh is heading to Maryland to be the Terrapins new co-Defensive Coordinator and defensive line coach, as first-reported by 247Sports.
This is a tough loss for UK. Brumbaugh has been instrumental in developing some quality defensive linemen since coming to UK. He’s one of the last assistants UK probably wanted to lose, but it is good to see him getting a nice promotion and the chance to help coordinator a Big Ten defense.
This is the second straight year that the Cats will lose a coach to the Terrapins. Last year, UK assistant coach Andy Buh left to take over as Maryland's defensive coordinator.
Expect this job to get filled in the coming weeks along with the vacant special teams coordinator spot.
