John Calipari is going to follow up with Kevin Knox Friday after his official visit to Kentucky last weekend, which included a visit to Calipari’s house and the game against No. 2 Kansas.

Despite losing to the Jayhawks, the fans in Rupp Arena set a world record for the largest indoor crowd roar. Knox was impressed.

"It went really well. We were really impressed. Coach Calipari and his staff obviously do a great job with the recruits and their development. The program speaks for itself," Kevin Knox Sr. told CatsPause.com. "We got a taste of the Big Blue Nation. We had never been to an actual Kentucky game. That was a very, very loud venue. A lot of excited fans."

Despite the loss, it’s great that Knox’s first Kentucky game was one in which the Big Blue Nation showed how supportive it can be.

Knox, the No. 8 player in the 2017 class, according to 247 Sports, is down to Kentucky, Duke, Florida State and North Carolina. He’s already taken an official visit to Duke, and will take an official visit to North Carolina this weekend.

He’s expected to announce his commitment in March on ESPN.
