That’s what Kentucky keeps doing, even though it’s not always the prettiest exhibition, the latest being at home on Senior Night vs Vanderbilt. The Cats’ offense looked about as lifeless as possible for most of the first half, which allowed the Dores to build a 25-6 lead and seemingly take control for good.
Not so, as the Cats battled back throughout the game before finally taking the lead for good in the final minutes. Thanks to another big outing from Malik Monk — 27 points on 8-of-21 shooting — pushed Kentucky to a 73-67 win.
This turned out to be the biggest comeback win in the John Calipari era. What a way to cap off the home season for the Cats.
